Calibration machines are used for the precise forming of metal shells in the exhaust gas industry. Together with the bearing mat and the substrate (monolith), the metal shells form the assembly of a catalyst or diesel particulate filter, also known as so-called cannings. The components can either be positioned in the shell during the calibration process or inserted after forming.<\/p>\n
The calibration machines can be integrated into both automated robotic cells and manual production lines. By changing the calibration tools, different shell sizes can be produced flexibly. The forming technology is designed for round and oval metal shells and allows the production of single- or double-seat cannings.<\/p>\n
