About Us
Schmitt Spezialmaschinenbau GmbH is a medium-sized, family-run company based in Landau in the Palatinate region and has been a reliable partner in industrial automation and manufacturing technology since 1992. Building on over 45 years of experience in special-purpose machine and fixture construction, we develop innovative, precise, and cost-effective solutions that are tailored exactly to our customers’ requirements.
Our range of services covers the complete process chain—from the initial idea and design to manufacturing, assembly, commissioning, and documentation. We place particular emphasis on the development, design, and production of welding, testing, and leak-testing fixtures for medium- and large-series production. In addition, we produce high-quality tools, fixtures, and special machines of all types, ensuring maximum efficiency, process reliability, and durability.
As a technology-oriented company, we work closely with our customers to solve complex technical challenges and sustainably optimize production processes. Modern CAD/CAM methods, a high-performance machinery fleet, and qualified specialists form the foundation for the consistently high quality of our products.

Precision meets Individuality
CNC Milling
The use of modern machining centers enables us to manufacture components with high precision. On our 5-axis machines, we can perform 5-sided machining as well as full 5-axis simultaneous machining.
CNC Turning
On modern turning machines, components can be fully processed. We manufacture on these machines starting from a quantity of one. Almost all of our machines are equipped with driven tools, allowing drilling and milling operations to be performed directly on the turning machine.
Measuring
We measure individual parts, fixtures, and special machines using our Faro Platinum measuring arm or our optical 3D measurement system from Keyence. This allows for straightforward geometric measurement based on a 3D model or a drawing.
